Strategic Planning for a
Nonprofit Coalition -
The Balance Group is proud to have been chosen twice to facilitate
Strategic Planning for the Triangle Community Coalition. There is
collective power in a coalition of organizations and individuals. However, when a board of directors is made up of the leadership of
other organizations, you know that their time and resources are
already over committed. A coalition will cease to exist if it
doesn’t serve and support their members with a minimum of wasted
effort. Their expectations are rewarded with insightful,
invigorating planning sessions leading to clear, concise plans. |

Professional Trade Association Conferences
Often the members of one organization have a powerful impact on
the success of the members of another organization. A priority
of our clients is to increase the mutual respect and quality of
their working relationships with other groups. The Balance Group
supports the identification of these connections and creates
strategies for building healthy relationships. For groups involved
with land use or housing issues; we propose conference sessions,
design Power Points and handouts, assemble panels, coach
presenters and moderate conference sessions. |

Legislation Signing -
Diane Korte of The Balance Group testified before the General
Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky on manufactured housing
planning law. The Kentucky Manufactured Housing Institute brought
us in to support the collective wisdom and conviction of their
membership, board, lobby and legal counsel. We designed and
moderated negotiation sessions with the Kentucky League of Cities. |
